Maymead is very committed to developing and promoting employees from within the organization.
Growth and change, however, sometimes dictate the need to look outside the organization. Maymead offers several attractive benefits in the hopes of keeping and attracting better people. Maymead realizes that better people are those who think about themselves and their tomorrow. These are the same people who care about more than just themselves and who cooperate. If you feel you are this type person, please review what we have to offer and fill out an application if interested (application link found at bottom).
Maymead offers a 401K plan utilizing the American Funds products. There are 11 different
investment products to choose from ranging from the
very conservative to the fairly aggressive.
The plan is self-directed and participants have access to a web page whereby
they can change their current investment elections and/or change their future payroll deduction electives.
Unheard of in any industry, Maymead has matched all contributions at the 100% level for the past six years without a cap.
This has been, and will continue to be, at the discrection of Maymead management. It does not
mean that Maymead will continue to do so in the future.
But Maymead feels strongly in helping those that help themselves and hopes to be able to continue this practice.
Our Health Care provider is John Deere Health Plan, Inc. There is a $20.00 co-pay feature for all in-plan
doctor visits without any deductible involved. Moreover there are prescription card benefits as well.
The employee's health care, for the most part, is paid for by Maymead and family coverage is available through our 125S
deduction program.
Maymead provides its employees with two life insurance policies. One pays 1 1/2 times one's annual
salary and the other is a set amount depending on one's function.
Our life insurance providers are Met-Life and Jefferson Pilot.
We offer family health care insurance, dental insurance, certain cancer insurances, and disability
insurance all under the 125S or Cafeteria Plan which means your premiums are made pretax.
Phrased another way, your payroll deductions reduce your taxable gross when Federal withholding and state
withholding taxes are calculated.
